Marking 85 Years in Business, Berman Auctioneers becomes Berman Property Solutions

Worcester, MA –  After 85 years, the old name and singular focus on auctions, is going, going…gone!

The venerable Worcester auction firm begins a new era with expanded and specialized real estate services designed to meet the growing needs of baby boomers, senior adults and their families. Across the country, millions of members of these generations are faced with selling a home filled with a lifetime of memories and possessions as they transition to a new living situation or handle the estate of someone who has passed away.

“Our new name better reflects the breadth of services we provide, not only to financial institutions, but also to people facing moments of transition in their lives, who need a partner to help sell their home and deal with its contents,” said Mark Shear, President of Berman Property Solutions.

Founded in Worcester in 1932 by Henry A. Berman, the company became a regional leader in the valuation and disposition of assets and real estate. Now in its third-generation of family ownership, the company has expanded beyond its traditional work with banks and financial institutions to address the needs of individuals and families.

Berman Property Solutions now offers a unique approach to selling real estate, including traditional real estate brokerage, auction-by-choice, and a hybrid of the two.  The company also provides wrap-around services including overseeing repairs to prepare a home for sale, coordinating the evaluation, packing, moving and disposition of a home’s contents, and general property management prior to sale.
